Le Dolci Sorelle is one of the four brands ALL-FOOD owns. We own the brand and set the specification, and an Italian pastry plant manufactures to it. ALL-FOOD is not the manufacturer.
The range runs to more than three hundred references across biscotti, filled pastries, tarts, cakes and single portions, in two lines: retail cartons for shelf, and bulk packs for foodservice. Production is in Tuscany.
The brand sits inside our wider Italian pastry and bakery range, which is where to look if you want the whole category rather than this one brand.
Which Le Dolci Sorelle line you need
Almost every buyer arrives asking for a product. The question that decides the order is which line, because the same cannolo exists in both and they are not interchangeable.
The retail line is packed for shelf: cartons of 7, 9 or 20 units at 200g, tarts and cakes at 250g, 300g, 400g, 500g and 1kg, and assorted trays. Grocery retail, delicatessens, specialty stores.
The foodservice line is packed in bulk: 1kg, 1.2kg, 1.5kg and 2kg packs, plus fixed counts of 12, 16, 18, 20 and 24 pieces. The flavour range is considerably wider and the cost per portion is lower. HORECA, hotel groups, caterers, coffee chains.
A worked example from this year. A buyer supplying professional kitchens came to us asking about cannoli and aragostine, which he had seen in the retail cartons. The bulk line carries the same products with a much broader flavour range, including cappuccino, pistachio, zabaione, salted caramel, ivory cream and hazelnut cocoa cream on the filled lines, none of which exist in the retail cartons. Left alone he would have ordered the wrong line, at a higher cost per portion, with fewer flavours.

Le Dolci Sorelle formats and shelf life
Retail cartons are 7, 9 or 20 units of 200g, with some lines at 150g. Tarts and cakes run 250g, 300g, 400g, 500g and 1kg. Assorted trays are 400g and 500g.
Foodservice packs are 1kg, 1.2kg, 1.5kg and 2kg, plus fixed piece counts of 12, 16, 18, 20 and 24.
Shelf life varies by family and it matters more on export than most buyers expect. The dry biscotteria and the ripieni generally carry 180 days. Some sfoglia and mandorla lines carry 120 or 90 days. The torte, soffici, ciambelloni and rotoli carry 45 days.
That 45-day figure is the one to plan around. Measured from production, and set against ocean freight plus your own warehouse time and your retailer's acceptance window, the fresh cake range is a short-haul and air-freight proposition rather than a container proposition. The 180-day lines travel anywhere. We will tell you which references suit your route before you build a range around something that cannot survive the journey.
Le Dolci Sorelle minimum order
The minimum is 40 cartons. It is a total, not a minimum per reference, so you can mix freely across the range and build a first order from as many different products as you like. That is deliberate: it lets you test flavours and formats with your own customers without committing volume to any single code.
One practical note on freight. On the 9 x 200g format a full pallet is 120 cartons, so a 40-carton order moves as roughly a third of a pallet and the transport cost per unit stays high. At the minimum it is usually worth consolidating with other ALL-FOOD lines into the same shipment rather than moving a part pallet alone. We handle that consolidation.
Note that this is the minimum for buying the Le Dolci Sorelle brand as it stands. Putting your own brand on the same production is a different arrangement with its own minimum, covered on our private label programme page.
Delivery within northern Italy is included. Export freight is quoted per destination.
